Hertfordshire born singer-songwriter Elena June steps out with her exciting debut single 'Alone Again'.
Influenced by her favourite folk, jazz and pop artists, June writes with an honest and delicate grit - blending her story telling with deep, emotive melodies. Taking inspiration from her childhood and turning her pain into power; Elena June's mesmerizing vocal ability and honeyed tone is often paired with sombre, dream-like acoustic guitar.
After years of exploring her sound and achieving platinum in hard-copy sales as a songwriter for other artists; June's debut track unfolds like a walk in the rain, trading polished pop for something a little bit more visceral: an honest late night diary entry for the hyper-reflective. 'Alone Again' combines Elena's delicate and honeyed vocals with melancholic guitar and production by *Louis Mattrs* who's previous work includes songs for Mula Jones & Sam Fischer.
"Alone Again' was written at a time when I was noticing a pattern where it felt like I had no control over my thoughts - spiralling became second nature to me. The song is a timestamp as it encapsulates that feeling of ruminating and how lonely life can actually be when you push people away."
"I'm inspired by artists like Maro and Bon Iver aswell as timeless singers like Julie London. I knew I wanted my first song to feel both cinematic and tender so we kept the structure simple but added lots of texture. I'm so excited to finally share it."
No stranger to performing live, Elena's recent performances include opening for Paloma Faith at Pub in the Park and headlining the Futuretense x Notion series at Southbank Centre. A Headline gig will follow in mid June at Ministry, London with special guests TBC.
'Alone Again' is out NOW and is distributed by AWAL Core.
